The lair weddings is an off spin of the original hand made blog the ginger cats lair I started when I was still schooling in 2004.

I was always a crafty girl, making valentine’s day presents, friendship bands and lots and lots of birthday gifts for my friends. I also had this obsession with patterns and colors and “coordinating everything”. My love for fabric also pushed me to read up on fabric crafts and even joining a dressmaking class. So one day I decided to start my own blog. The idea came to me when I had help from my course mate in UNI to design the blog for me. I did all the graphics, and she helped me do the programming.

I participated in art fairs and bazaars and had a lot of fun. When I started to get busy with school work and eventually real work, I left this dream of mine behind.

Now as I plan my own wedding, my passion for DIY and handmade everything has ignited once again. This blog would be the perfect way to document the entire process and share it with the world. Design is in my blood.

Note: We have updated this blog with a new name, previously known as thegingercatslairwedding.wordpress.com to the current one: thelairweddings.wordpress.com.
